Elation

Thank you dear god. A million times, thank you.

I can’t begin to express the jubilation I’m feeling after the New York Giants have pulled off what’s arguably the biggest upset in sports history. Nobody gave the Giants a chance to win this game. Luckily for me, thats the sort of thing that legends are made upon. I was horrified the last time the Giants played the Patriots. Tonight, I’m ecstatic

The entertainment news media has been in a hussey about Tom Brady the last couple of months. It’s disgusting to watch the boy-band like start treatment that’s been given to him. I can’t really say too many bad things about Tom Brady, since he’s usually not one to talk a lot of trash. However, it’s nice to see him humbled a bit after a season that’s given him and his team no reason to be humble.

Eli Manning…

Eli isn’t the greatest quarterback of all time. Eli is however, someone who under tremedous pressure, found a way to beat the Goliath of the NFL. Payton got his ring last year, and Eli get’s his this year. After everything Archie went through with the Saints, it must be amazing to watch two of his sons become Super Bowl MVPs.

This game was bigger than the NFL. This game was a classic example of an underdog doing the impossible. Everyone loves a Rocky tale, and February 3, 2008 will go down in history as one of the greatest stories the NFL will ever have.

Most importantly, my beloved Dolphins remain the only team in history to go undefeated in a season (yes the Super Bowl counts). Hats off to the Giants for doing the impossible, and giving all of the rest of us something to believe in.
